Heritage Preservation Month Event Calendar: Call for Entries

New Mexico Places Far & Near:
Getting Out To The Familiar Or Unexpected

New Mexico has it all, from the dawn of dinosaurs to the current space age. Awe-inspiring, exciting activities can be featured — hikes to rarely accessible ruins, stargazing parties, music festivals, native dances, bike races, historic reenactments, art exhibitions, vendor markets, and local libations. The idea is to give your community and its visitors shared, entertaining, and connective experiences with New Mexico’s amazing places by highlighting our state’s extraordinary cultural, historic, and artistic wealth and being willing to celebrate and share them!

Please join other New Mexico communities, organizations, groups, and individuals by submitting one or more entries for your local upcoming heritage events to be held during the month of May.

Historical Woman’s Club Holiday Home Tour

Santa Fe residents are going to share their holiday-decorated homes with everyone who chooses to join in THE SANTA FE WOMAN’S CLUB HOME TOUR, DECEMBER 8 (10 AM to 4 PM).

These homes would be a treat to see even if they weren’t delightfully decorated with collections of Santas from around the world, Christmas trees with hand carved birds, a toy-size ski village, an ice skating pond and a train. There’s even a quirky Elvis toy singing “Blue Christmas.” There are Menorahs and Hanukkah traditional food and games. And, what is a “Dog-Walking Angel?” Docents will be available to answer all your questions. So get in the Holiday Spirit early and sign up for the Tour now.

TICKETS ARE JUST $25 for this self-guided tour that all will enjoy.

All the proceeds will benefit the Woman’s Club Scholarship funds.

The tour will start on Dec 8 (10 AM) at the Santa Fe Woman’s Clubhouse, 1616 Old Pecos Trail.
